Today’s Bible Reading:
Exodus 20; Luke 22; Job 38; 2 Corinthians 8: Proverbs 9

And then God begins His answer to Job (Job 38) and in God’s response we get to know Him more. 
These things that I take for granted in my everyday life-each and every one is designed and carried out by God Himself. 

​ My heart is full of thanksgiving and praise to my God who:

• laid the foundation of the earth
• set boundaries for the sea
• commands the morning and caused the dawn to know its place (did I think about that this morning as I got up to meet another day?)
• has entered the depths of the sea
• understands the expanse of the earth
• knows the dwelling places of light and darkness
• has storehouses of snow and hail “reserved for the day of war and battle” (I know whose side I want to be on)
• is in charge of wind, flood, and thunderbolts
• brings rain on the land
• has begotten the drops of the dew (many a morning I have walked on the dewy grass and not considered it source)
• gives birth to the ice and the frost (ever marvel at frost on a window?  That is God’s handiwork)
• controls the stars in the heavens and leads them in their path each season
• has fixed the sun and moon to rule over the earth
• speaks to the clouds to unleash an abundance of water at His command
• directs the path of lightning bolts
• gives wisdom and understanding to the mind
• hunts for prey for the lion
• prepares food for the raven

And this is just the beginning…
