Today’s Bible Reading: Job 17-20
While Job’s “friends” continue to argue with him that he must be a wicked person for God to have treated him thus Job remains secure in his knowledge that he did nothing wrong and that his only hope is in God. When I read the following words I thought, “You got your wish Job. Here I sit all these centuries later with your words inscribed in a book. And, Oh, what a book!”
“Oh that my words were written!
Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
Oh that with an iron pen and lead
they were engraved in the rock forever!
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth. -Job 19:23-25
