Today's Bible Reading: Genesis 12-15

Job is behind us now, and we move on to Abram.  Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you.  And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
So Abram went, as the Lord had told him. -Genesis 12: 1-4a

What I find interesting about this passage is that Abram obeyed.  At 75 years old he just picked up everything he owned, which was a great deal, and started on a journey of which he did not even know the destination.

Even with the knowing my final destination I can be slow to follow God’s leading sometimes.  Do I dare pray for a heart that is quick to follow wherever God leads?

To God be the glory,
