Exodus 9; Luke 12; Job 27; 1 Corinthians 13: Proverbs 26
1 Corinthians 13 may be one of the most familiar passages of the Bible.
Whenever I come to it I try to stop and consider how I am doing with living it out. After 50 some years I have made some progress but there is still so much more work to do. And when I think about this list in terms of what the Lord has accomplished for me, in terms of how He loves me I find myself moved to tears at the example I have to follow in the love of Christ for this fallen world.
Love is patient,
love is kind and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own,
is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Grace, peace, and mercy,
