2 KIngs 5; 1 Timothy 2; Daniel 9; Psalms 117-118
God's steadfast love endures forever--that seems to be the theme of my reading of late. So many things in this life are barely a blip on the screen, the are gone in a flash, but not this-not God's steadfast love.
What does that mean for me? According to the Psalmist it means that when I call on the LORD He answers me. It means that through the work of Jesus Christ I have been set free from the chains of sin and death. It means that the LORD is on my side, He is my helper. (think about that for a moment!) It means that it is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man or in those who rule over us. It means that the LORD is my strength, my song, and my salvation. It means that I shall not die but live-eternally in the house of our God. It means that this day has been made by God and this I can rejoice in it. I can even be glad in this day-no matter the circumstances-because this is the day that the LORD has made-everything in it is His perfect will.
Oh give thanks to the LORD for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!
Grace, Peace, and Mercy,
Debra
