Exodus 18; Luke 21; Job 36; 2 Corinthians 6: Proverbs 7
“For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” 2 Corinthians 6:16b, NASB
I am just sitting here thinking this morning about being the temple of the living God. The same God whose might arm rescued Israel from Pharoah as I am reading in Exodus, the same Jesus who came to earth in order to be the sacrifice for my life—this is the God who dwells in me. I do not often stop and think about that, but when I do the emotions run high with gratitude and amazement that He makes His dwelling place within me…me, a lowly sinner saved by grace. What will I do with this temple today? Will I adorn it with the things that matter (see Luke 21:5) recognizing that this current body of mine is temporary-the eternal is yet to come?
Grace, peace, and mercy,
Debra
