Today’s Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 24-25; 1 Peter 5: Micah 3; Luke 12
One little line from Luke has jumped out at me this morning:
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. -Luke 12:32
I have been thinking these last few days about El Shaddai-God Almighty. One of the things I learned was that part of that name for God means “heaps benefits on.” I guess that is why reading about our Father in heaven who has chosen gladly to give us the kingdom brought such a warm comfort to me this morning. He is the Almighty and yet He so tenderly cares for us, for all of our needs, (Luke 12:22-32) I do have some cares and “worries” this day, but choose to rest in the knowledge of how much I am loved and cared for by the One who is the All-Sufficient Sustainer.
