Genesis 11; Matthew 10; Ezra 10; Acts 10: Proverbs 10
The reading in Proverbs has my attention today. “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.” -Proverbs 10:11, NASB I have to tell you my mouth is not always a fountain of life. Oh the things that come out of it sometimes! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of our words were a fountain of life? Proverbs 10 had a lot more to say about the subject so I will leave you with these gems.
“When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver, the heart of the wicked is worth little.
The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of understanding.”
-Proverbs 10:19-21
“The mouth of the righteous flows with wisdom, but the perverted tongue will be cut out.
The lips of the righteous bring forth what is acceptable, but the mouth of he wicked what is perverted.” -Proverbs 10:31-32
Grace, peace, and mercy,
